Privacy

The Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) protects personal information of individuals via the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in Schedule 1 to the Privacy Act. The APPs set out standards, rights and obligations around the handling of personal information.

The Treasury manages privacy on behalf of the Australian Centre for Evaluation.
