This series aims to help Australian Public Service (APS) officers understand how AI tools can be used at different stages of an evaluation. These different stages include:
- planning
- delivery
- reporting
- evidence use.
The Australian Centre for Evaluation (ACE) has worked with its partners to develop this series. The Australian Public Service Commission’s Capability Reinvestment Fund provided funding for this project.
AI tools are improving quickly, and people are discovering new ways to use them every day. Because of these rapid changes, this series does not suggest the use of any one AI tool. Instead, its aim is to help you think about how to use AI tools for evaluation tasks safely and responsibly. Within the Australian Government, staff must follow the Policy for responsible use of AI in government and any guidance from their agency for the use of AI tools.
